Our client has a digital platform to help their clients manage risk associated with claims and has a sizable dataset around past claims. They needed an application to predict outcomes for new claims to provide early, actionable insights to their users.
We used natural language processing (NLP) to transform large unstructured data sets into usable, structured data. Combining NLP features with historic claim information, we developed a high accuracy model to predict claim cost for new claims. We developed the necessary data engineering pipelines and infrastructure to serve and retrain the model. We collaborated with the client's product team to design the UI/UX and launch a new market leading product, accelerating the product roadmap.
